Mission Secure Appoints Security Industry Veteran John Adams as Managing Director

Adams to accelerate the company’s innovations in OT/ICS technology and services and further drive growth for the company’s expanding global customer base.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA – March 18, 2021 – Mission Secure, the industry’s leading Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity technology company, today announced the appointment of John Adams as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will succeed David Drescher, who will remain a member of the company’s board of directors. Adams joins after recent announcements that Mission Secure has closed a Series B funding round and launched a new integrated cybersecurity solution for the maritime industry in cooperation with Ince, an international legal and professional services firm.

“A generational shift has dramatically increased the need for industrial cybersecurity and protection for highly complex and sophisticated commercial and military control systems,” said George Coyle, Managing Partner at Energy Innovation Capital and Mission Secure Board Member. . “Mission Secure already provides state-of-the-art systems that protect many critical commercial and military control systems from cyber threats. John has built major security companies before, and given the company’s rapid growth and technology leadership, we’re thrilled to have him on our side as we build Mission Secure into the ICS market leader.

Adams is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 20 years of consistent business performance and record growth in the security industry. He has held successive senior executive positions in globally listed companies and created and built entrepreneurial organizations in large private companies that have demonstrated record growth and financial performance. He most recently served as CEO of Waratek for five years and grew the company into the recognized leader in application and middleware cybersecurity with a global customer base.

“With all the focus on IT security, cybersecurity in critical infrastructure networks and industrial control systems continues to lag significantly,” said John Adams, CEO of Mission Secure. “The OT/ICS cybersecurity market is primed for one company to set the pace as a leader and innovator in the field. With our portfolio of highly differentiated security technologies and services, Mission Secure has all the elements necessary to maintain and grow this position. My goal is to exceed the individual needs of our customers, evolve our business, and continue to reinforce why Mission Secure is the “new normal” in the OT/ICS cybersecurity space. »

Adams is also an active volunteer, having served on various non-profit boards during his career, including organizations such as United Way and the YMCA. He has received numerous awards throughout his career, such as Volunteer of the Year for the YMCA and the very distinguished honor of being recognized in 2015 as Father of the Year from the American Diabetes Associations (an award shared by dignitaries such as Presidents Ronald Reagan, George W.
