I love him so much that I wanted to keep him. I searched on google if this was posted somewhere as text, but couldn’t find it. Traditionally, I haven’t been a fan of daily mantras, but I am thinking of talking to my kids about repeating this one.
From @emmalinecs on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@emmalinecs/video/6866994894930562310
For those who don’t want to click on a Tiktok link or use the service, I’ll set the scene a bit. This mom, Emma, repeats the following with her children on the video. I don’t know if it’s a daily thing or not, but I’ll imagine it that way. Much of the change is due to incremental generational movements. You don’t move a mountain with one big lift, you do it by constantly changing it bit by bit. Perseverance is power.
If you look or look different, trans or gay,
I love and respect you every day.
I stand up for what is right and help those who need it.
I am my instinct, this is the path that I lead.
I feed my soul, my body, my spirit.
I don’t have to be perfect, I’ll be nice to myself.
If I need help I’ll ask, it’s the brave thing to do.
And if I do something wrong, I’ll apologize to you.
I will always work hard, explore, learn and play.
I don’t need to sort everything, but I’ll do it every day:
Loving thoughts, loving words, loving heart on this day,
I am safe, I am loved, life is good… Hip hip! Oh yeah !
