JAMMU, MAY 15: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg today reviewed the implementation of the Jal Jeevan mission plan here at a district-level committee meeting.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Ramesh Kumar; CPO Yoginder Katoch; Hydraulic Engineer Superintendent Sumit Puri; CMO JP Singh; CEO and appointed committee members in addition to other relevant officers.
SE Hydraulic informed that Jammu district was in the second phase of the mission and that the DPR of all works under JJM has been completed. He further informed that the works will be executed after requesting administrative approval.
Reviewing the water connections provided to schools and Anganwadi centers, the deputy commissioner asked the CEO and PO ICDS to share data from schools and uncovered Anganwadi centers with SE Hydraulic to enable the department to take measures in this regard.
He further ordered that tap water connections be provided to all ghars in Panchayat. The deputy commissioner said the mission plans to provide safe and adequate drinking water facilities to all households by December 2022.
The deputy commissioner called on officers to work in a coordinated manner for the smooth execution of government work in accordance with standards.
